istock_000000240880xsmall2When you’re sitting around in the country during the summer time in the evening, you can usually hear the sound of the bug zappers going off  periodically ZAP, ZAP, ZAP!  When you look at the bug zapper you can usually see a swam of bugs hovering  around the bright light.  They almost seem as if they are hypnotized by the light and drawn into their deaths,  like a moth to the flame.  This makes me think about all the marketing calls I take with computer business owners looking for IT sales leads.  When they tell me the stories about how they have had so many failed telemarketing campaigns without getting any leads or sales, I can almost hear that same ZAP, ZAP, ZAP!  It’s the sound of IT services providers being drawn in by the lure of Cheap marketing services!

Don’t Get Zapped Looking For Cheap IT Sales Leads!

The biggest factor that most computer consultants are looking when considering an IT lead generation campaign is the cost.  While many instinctual know that they should be looking for a telemarketing outfit that specialize within the MSP market, most don’t realize that any specialty items usually cost a premium.  Therefore when any cheap offer appears they are immediately drawn in and abandon their search for quality.  The majority of these larger call centers  have agents that don’t understand the complexities of selling manged services and therefore have a huge learning curve.  Therefore what ends up happening is that most never even get one single lead from their campaign and they lose precious time that they can never get back!

When you consider the lost time most computer businesses lose by waiting  3 months to get nothing because they go after the cheapest IT telemarketing services then they really don’t save any money!  I am always surprised that computer services provider who themselves don’t have the cheapest solutions but have to sell on quality and value don’t realize that should be looking for the same thing themselves.  Make sure that when you conduct a search for marketing IT that cost is not the most important factor in your decision making process rather than quality!  This will ensure that you get the ROI you need to make a profit and that you won’t get ZAPPED!
